I'm not even 30 yet and I'm going blind! lol. I have an eye doctor appointment coming up and I think I'm going to have to spring for the contacts, I doubt my insurance covers them. I was wondering if anyone had any information on price and how hard are they to get in? Any major problems I should be aware of? I'm really not thrilled about sticking something in my eye ball everyday but it seems to work for people. Any information? much appreciated

well, they are a ***** to get in and out at first, but you will love them. I have the kind that i can wear up to 30 days before i have to take them out, they are awesome. But it gets easy to take them in and out once you get the hang of it P.S. dont try to take them out right after you get out of the shower, for some reason they stick to your eyeballs for awhile lol!

A girl I know (37 yrs old) has been wearing them since she was a teen. Takes her about 10 seconds each to put in. I've tried them several times. One of the problems was always trying to see which was the correct way and not the inside out way before the attempt at putting in the eye. Guess that issue depends on if you are near or far-sighted. Eye places should give you some sample ones after they test you so you can try different ones before you buy. I gave up on them after trying several different brands.

sometime insurances give you an allowance for contacts in lieu of glasses. the tech's at the office will teach you how to put them in, the trick is finding a brand that is comfortable for you. i wear focus night and day, you wear them continually for 1 month. My exam and a year of lenses was around $150. I'm also not quite 30 yet, but i've been wearing them for close to 5 years. it is also smart to get a back up pair of glasses just in case you get an eye infection or just don't feel like hasseling with contacts everyday.

MY DAUGHTER WENT TO WALMART, SHE GOT SOME COLOR CONTACTS, HER EYES ARE GOOD, BUT ANYWAY SHE HAS BROWN EYES AND SHE WANTED COLOR SO SHE WENT TO WALMART, WHICH BY THE WAY IS THE CHEAPEST WAY TO GO, SHE PAID TO SEE THE DOCTOR, AROUND $65.00. CALL WALMART FOR A PRICE, THEY ARE THE CHEAPEST, GOOD LUCK.
