My flatmate spilt a jug of water on my carpet and now it smells like a dead animal. How can I make it better??

Sprinkle baking soda over the area - this will absorb any nasty smells - leave it on for about 30 minutes and then vacuum it off.

Roll your flatmate over the spill until the smell goes away.

Scrub it with white vinegar. Let totally dry and sprinkle with baking soda and let set a couple of hours then vacuum up the soda.
