how do you know when someone has paid for an item they av bought of youi still av awaiting payment (1) by the item

if they have paid via paypal check your paypal account for 100% confirmation. if they have sent a cheque or cash you would obviously know if you have recieved payment. if they have paid money via bank transfer or the like check your bank account.

Depends on how they told you they were paying. A money order or check you need to wait for the mail. On your seller account there will be "$" mark next to the item when you have been paid by Paypal it lights up, if its grey you weren't paid yet.
If you haven't been paid in say 10 days and the buyer has not written that they are sending a check hit the unpaid button and report it to Ebay

What forms of payment have you allowed for them to pay by? Go and check with them. Otherwise speak to Ebay help, but for god sake learn to write when you're applying for help.

You either have the cheque (and be sure to clear it) or they have paid by Pay Pal.
