I've done searches for real estate, meaning of words, creditor's background etc. but the one thing that helped me the most is driving directions.

Prior to the web, I drove only within a 25 mile radius of my home. And I'll have panic attacks when get lost (which was frequently).

Now I drive with confidence from state to state and find locations along the most remote or least travelled roads.

I can go anywhere I want and now ...... I do.

My wife and I are both disabled and can't get out much. The web has opened up the world to us and made life much easier and it's much easier to stay in contact with friends and family also.

I live 3000 km away from my family and most of my friends and the internet makes communicatng with them a lot easier. We can talk online and write e-mails as we wish, which makes it easier to stay in touch and up to date on what's going on over there. That certainly beats the good ol' snail mail.

I can follow up with news and discussions from my country despite being abroad.

Easy access to information is very useful and makes me more likely to read and learn new things.

It's very useful when organizing vacations, because I can look up prices of accommodation, find transport schedules, routes and prices, information about destinations etc., which makes travelling a lot easier (since I don't like to travel with agencies).

Online dictionaries come in very handy too.

The web has positively impacted me in mostly the same ways as it has you. I too use maps quite often.

I have been able to show my daughter many educational things as well as entertainment ideas. We have been able to search for things to do in our community. I love it!
