Might be a kidney stone. Blood often preceeds the stone. The pain is horrible. See a urologist as an emergency patient.

My brother pissed blood last year and the doctors found he had a bad kidney. Better get it checked quick. It's not normal.

There could be several reasons for this...it could be the result of an nfection in either the urinary bladder or in the kidneys...int could be damabe to the urethra, it could be the result of a stomach ulcer...it could be any one of a number of problems...my advice...go see the doctor...
