Try this method. Insert a disc in the drive, then right click on the drive letter and select "properties".

From the window, go to the "autoplay" tab, and select the desired option for each disc type (browse the drop down menu). This should work

there is no need to bother yourself

just press " Shift " key when inserting a cd or dvd you do not wish
to run automatically and hold it for a few seconds.
and
system won't run cd/dvd automatically.

( time of holding key depends on kind of drive you have installed in your system).
