When I was pregnant with my son, I craved freon. Yes, the stuff that cools air. My ob/gyn explained to me that craving freon is a sign of iron deficiency. I was put on iron supplements and the craving went away. Is that crazy enough for you? :-)

I woke up this morning wanting a rainbow sherbert on ginger ale float. I don't even like ginger ale!
When my mother was pregnant with me, she and my dad used to paint houses and my dad said that he would constanly catch her sitting in the corners of the house eating paint! She could tell you what brands tates best, what colors were best and which ones smelled good but didn't taste as good! It was then determined that she had acondition calles "Pica". When a person has Pica. they crave non food substances like chalk, paint, cigarette butts, dirt, soap, crayons etc.
Then, when I was two years ols, I had it too. I had my stomach pumped on a weekly basis and my mother bought epicac (a med that makes you vomit) every time she went to the grocery store! In my toddler years, I ate crayons, shampoo, dirt, analgesic creams like Bengay, a whole bottle of Valium, peices of my disposable diapers, safety pins and carpet pieces. CRAZY HUH!!?? The really funny part is that now, even as an adult I taste everything! Like lotions and candles and soap/shampoo, deodorant etc.. I don't consume full amounts of it...just a little taste. It drives my husband crazy!
Good luck on the baby and Congrats!

G'day. When I was pregnant with my daughter, I craved soap! I spent hours daydreaming about chewing a nice cake of soap and having the bubbles froth out of my mouth.
And no, I didn't actually eat any! lol
Cheers,
Donna :)

When I was seven months along, I made my fiance drive forty-five minutes to the 24-hour McDonald's to get me two hash browns and a sausage patty. I put the sausage patty in between the two hash browns. Mmm! It was three-thirty in the morning!
