No, and that's why they DON'T! If you're sick, a doctor can advise you on ways to live comfortably, but he can't decide the course for you! What a scientist may want to do with you isn't even a consideration.

why would they decide for us? wot do u mean? i thought they would seek approval before proceeding.......
actually it depends......maybe they decide because we cant for ourselves...and even if they do, it will be based on rationality and what they deem the best for us right?
unless, u r toking about mad scientist here...........

i think that they should tell the person all the options there is for him and tell him what they recommend and then let him choose by himself his own course..
