Some say the scientific fact that this year has flown by it to do with our age, I heard the 11 year old girl who lives over the road discussing the fact this year has flown with her friend, guess its nothing to with age after all and its the ozone layers fault instead.

I'm with you on this one. I've actually done some studying on this one, as I have experienced this myself.
There is actually no scientific basis as to why a year seems to go faster than others. But psychlogically it can be explained. Being a psychoanalyst myself I see this sort of thing all the time.
The reason time seems to "fly by" is because of sociological and environmental factors one expereiences. Things such as financial growth, loving relationships, and a good working environment can make time seem to pass quickly, when all that is really happening is that people "forget to think". By that I mean that there is no prime focus on the negative aspects. People do not wake up everyday fearing what's ahead of them, or wondering how they're going to handle the forthcoming day.
If you have any questions, or would like to talk further about this or any other subject, feel free to email me at jnoling372@hotmail.com
Have a good day.

Yes, scientifically it has gone faster than the previous four years (but, incidentally, not faster than 2001, which was the fastest year since records began in 1879). This 'accelerated annuality' is caused by particular conjunctions of planets, especially as they rise or fall above or below the ecliptic. Mind you, it could be worse if you lived closer to the north or south pole, where estimates are that, at 11.59 pm on December 31st, the year will have only been 286 days long!

So what have u been doing that it flew so quickly??? I wish mine had flown by! Maybe u should share it on 360 if it's been THAT good!! nice pic by the way.
I think if u consider it too deeply u can go round in circles. But I guess it just goes to prove that time really flies when ur having fun!????

In my opinion it is because the older you get the more you appreciate the time that you have. Once Christmas is over with you are looking forward to the Easter holidays, when Easter is over with you start saving for you summer/September holidays. Once these are over, you start saving and looking forward to Christmas. There is always something that you need to do for the future. Its a never ending circle. While as a child though, everything is taken care of for you, so all you have to do is to enjoy it at the time that it is.

It's a relativity thing. When you're 5, 1 year is 20% of your life. When you're 20, 1 year is only 5% of your life, so it seems to go faster.

The older I get the quicker time seems to "FLY". I guess because I'm getting slower about getting things done as apposed to when I was younger and faster.

Yes, it is a scientific fact, that the older you get, the faster you pick up speed going down hill. That explains why the years go by faster.
