I have a Compaq desktop and was wanting to add memory and a video card to it. I would like to know who makes the best memory( I lean towards Kingston but am wanting to hear your oppinion).
I have also found out that I can watch TV over the internet and was wanting to upgrade my video card so that I could get TV quality video. I would like to stay under $100.00. I know I could spend around 400-500 and be set but I do not want to spend that much! The picture is OK but I am looking for somthing that I can watch video on full screen and still have it be clear. Also I am not in any hurry so if you think that I should wait to buy let me know. All answers are welcome.
Thank You in advance.
PS If you sell either of these I would appreciate seeing your website. All answers welcome means I am not going to report anybody for any answer. Thanks.

Kingston memory is fine. If it's SDRAM, this would be the one to buy: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820153101 If it's DDR, then I'd buy this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820141121

Here are some video capture cards, that will allow you to capture shows directly from an antenna, or cable/satellite: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.asp?Submit=ENE&SubCategory=47&N=2010380047 And the people above me are correct, nothing will make Internet video look better.

I would suggest sticking with the memory that is in your machine and simply buying more of the same - this tends to be less troublesome.
As for video cards, you should take plenty of time to ensure you know what you want it for: just tv or gaming; Do you want to run Media Centre in the future? etc. In general I've found nVidia cards to be widely compatible and good performers.
The answers are a little vague, but the specifics of each situation mean that no standard answer fits all scenarios.

The lack of quality in Internet video will not be improved by changing your video. The picture is "fuzzy" because that is the quality of picture being broadcast. The Internet is not fast enough to be able to broadcast high quality pictures for video. You would be waiting hours for it to download. So the sites will lower the video quality to reduce the file size so that you actually see it in real time. (What do you expect for free).

Hi Epizan

You seem to be confused about the quality of video you are getting over the internet. This lack of quality is not caused by your video - it's caused by the compression and lack of detail that the site sends out. The bad quality you are seeing is what everybody sees. This is why it's free.
