yes, he sees himself as an 'international statesman' in much the same way as Ken Livingstone is seeing himself as mayor of an 'international city'. Sadly, they are ignoring the problems at home in their quest to be recorded as 'international statesmen' in tomorrow's history books. There's a lot to be said about keeping your own house clean before you go and interfere in others ... I wish Blair would take a long hard look at problems here before he wastes our time and money pledging aid and effort abroad.
