Depends on where you work at in which kind of office building. But yeah.....try to wear a maroon shirt and black belt with black pants. That would look better or try wearing a baby blue shirt with black belt and black pants or navy blue pants :)

The office dress code depends on where you work. Some offices still stick with the traditional (professional) "business dress required." Which means a suit, dress shirt, tie, belt, and dress shoes.
Other offices may only require a business casual look, which means trousers, a dress shirt, dress shoes, and a belt. Jacket and tie are optional. You would have to check with HR or the office manager to know for sure what a particular workplace attire is suggested.
Most dress pants and suits are neutrals, or work as a neutral, which means that you could pair just about any color shirt with a your trousers.
For a more professional look, stay with shades of white, pastels, and deep, rich colors. Avoid anything flashy or overly bright, which can make a man in the office look gaudy.
The list of colors that match is very long, and would take forever to type (and read.) A good rule of thumb is the darker the pants, the lighter the shirt, and the lighter the pants, the darker the shirt. Wearing all dark colors (or all light) can give a very boring look.

buddy in Chennai all companies follow :
1. Mon - Thu = Full Sleeves Shirt + Trousers.
For formals you can go for : White shirt and Grey trousers OR White shirt with stripes with Black trousers OR Maroon shirt with stripes along with light colour pant
Remember one thing if you are wearing light colour shirt go for dark colour trouser and vice versa.
2. Fri & Sat = Casuals but T-Shirts
Wear plain T-shirts OR T-Shirts without any nonsense on it, here you can go for Adidas or Reebok or Nike T-Shirts, they'll look good. Cargoes allowed.

Official dress code always is white and navy blue sometimes the navy blue can be relaxed to grey and cream. Now a days of infotech even levis, t-shirts and keds are in vouge. BPO's wear all sorts of sporty wear. Executives it is strictly white and blue may be pinstripes for CEO's, blues preferably.

Pure colors are formal and good for office workers. Light blue blouses with dark blue pants or skirts. etc. Colorful and stylish dresses should be avoided.
