No. It's an expensive waste of time and money, hideously corrupt and inefficient - the only reason it keeps producing ever more ludicrous legislation is to justify its existence.

You would need to have a vast amount of information to hand to discover whether joining the EU had been of financial benefit to us or the reverse. It is certainly true that European funding has enabled many projects to take place in this country that otherwise would not have happened.
I think in terms of our day-to-day life it hasn't made much difference. It gives the tabloid press something to complain about, and allows xenophobes to go on about how terrible it is, so in that sense it is quite useful I suppose.

To be honest, I don't really mind. I haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary (I mean, we haven't been raped by French or Italian people or had German men **** in our mouths like the Daily Mail said we would).

I'm from Turkey..You know we (actually our government) try to enter EU..But I saw what the hell is EU, so if Turkey be a part of EU (I don't think so but..), I won't be happy.
