Pseudonyms should not be a birthright. They should be stripped off when the master stops blasting. Like someone here rightly said that this name was first given to V. Richards. When Richards retired I'd say the name then moved to S.Tendulkar and now the title of Master Blaster is rightfully deserved by B.Lara.

Well all of the Indians on here seem to think it must be an Indian, Sachin.

However, they are wrong. The first player who had that nickname was Viv Richards, the West Indian batsman in the 70's and 80's.
He even has a special sponsored Slazenger V500 "Master Blaster" edition. I know this because I owned one in about 1988 or 1989....
