There is the American example of Buffy the Vampire Slayer as a reversal of the typical role of the helpless female. There is a whole field of Buffy studies out there. Visit the wikipedia or google for it.

I think neither one of them. I've never seen such a movie you expect and I just can say that one of the reasons might be because women don't have a real role in movie making they are somehow abused.

although there may be some films out there that you like and that offer good female roles.
