Ask yourself these questions. Who caused the divorce? Why did you divorce? Did your ex have a hard time with the divorce? If you were the cause of the divorce and your ex had a hard time getting over it leave her alone , don't try and get back with her because you are now jealousy that she has found someone else. You did not want her before why now. What has changed. You can not go back, it is never the same. Would you cheat on her again if that is what you did the first time. There is no such thing as a no fault divorce . There was something wrong. One of the partners wants to move on now you want to go back. Come on you always want what you can't have.

What exactly does "contact" mean? If it involves touching then NO, a catch-up session with the BF included over dinner would be nice.

If you maintained a friendship after the divorce and there are kids involved and she doesn't have a restraining order against you, then it wouldn't be inappropriate to me.

Personally, yes, unless there is some compelling reason; otherwise, it comes off as needy. Things come to an end and you have to move on.

No way! You were married for 27 years! Definitly call her, her "bf" should understand, he'd be dumb not to.

Virtually 100% of divorcees continue to have sex (on varying degrees of regularity of course).

This, for the two of you, is entirely natural !
