When I came off the pill it took me about four months to get pregnant. My body did the same thing as yours. My first period was normal but then the one after that came about 6-7 weeks later. (The bad thing was I got a little bit excited thinking I was preg alreagy) If you haven't gotten it in the next week or so I would make a doc appointment. Just in case and plus they can put you on your pre-natal vitamins. Hope that helps!!

Hi there honey. The fact of the matter is that you can conceive any time after you stop taking the pill. The women that are telling you that it took a year or two years or whatever are not typical believe me. It is possible to get pregnant right after you discontinue the pill. The inability to get pregnant "post pill syndrome" is largely disputed by the medical community. Maybe the women who have responded to your question were on the pill for many, many years. Pill usage for over ten years could temporarily have an effect on ones ability to ovulate. Even so, missing a few pills in a month can cause your body to produce that occassional egg. If you want to become pregnant as soon as possible I would not worry, just let nature take its course.
If you are truly concerned that you may be pregnant you can call your doctor and ask her to schedule a blood test for you. They are accurate very, very early. Are you experiencing any of the early signs of pregnancy? If you are I would say that is a good reason to request a blood test. You are correct about the urine tests tho, they are not accurate in testing for a very early pregnancy.
If there is anything else you would like to know, feel free to write to me.
Love and Blessings

I know everybody is different, however, with my first pregnancy I had only had one period when waiting for my second i realised I was pregnant. Also with my second I had the period during my seven day break, didn't take the pill again and was pregnant within 2 weeks so again I didn't get my second period. I guess i am extremely fertile or just lucky.

My advice though is to relax and not to worry about things because this can often delay your period. I cant say if you are pregnant or not maybe it is a little soon for you who knows. Just give it another few days. If there is still no sign of your period go to the doctors and ask for a blood test.

Good luck x

It varies from woman to woman.

You can save money on buying pregnancy tests though! Try charting your cycle, this will tell you when you start ovulating again and so when you can get pregnant again!

Take your temperature every morning when you wake up. It will rise slightly when you ovulate (around the middle of your cycle) and stay higher until your next period. Also keep an eye on your mucus. It will become stretchy like egg white as you approach ovulation. Once your ovulate your egg remains viable for fertilisation for just 12-24 hours. Sperm can survive in your more fertile mucus for up to five days.

When trying to concieve you should make love every other day for a week before your ovulate and a day or two after. The rest of the time you are pretty much naturally infertile anyway!

Good luck and enjoy this exciting time!

Well for a lot of people when you come off of the pills it takes a long time to get your body right again. You might not have a period for up to 6 months that doesn't mean that you preg. but it's just your body is trying to adjust to not have the pill anymore, but then again it could happen very fast. So it just depends on your body and how it can cope without the pills, cause for me it took 2yrs for my body to get adjusted after getting off the pill. But if it goes on for to long and your trying to get preg fast then I'd say go back to the doctors and see if they can help you with the period thing.

Depends on the person. I was on the pill for 13 years. When I came off it, my periods returned to normal straight away. We weren't actively trying for a baby, so when my 3rd period was late, I assumed it was the pill messing me up. The first pregancy test I did was negative, but then a few days later I did another test and it was positive.
I've heard that you are actually very fertile when you first come off the pill, but it can also take a long time for periods to return to normal.

It is all relative. I came off the pill I had been on for 4 years, and got pregnant within the month...... I was 22 and had a girl, and it was my first (and last) Just enjoy the trying. Or maybe, go back on the pill and wait till your older? or not have any at all! They're not so cute at 15!

it can take time to get pregnant even if you havent been using something lilke the pill. give it time n try to relax about it. once your periods return, they may be ireegular for a while, but as soon as you can try and work out your most fertile days and make the most of them. practice lots n youll get there in the end hopefullly,. it can take healthy fertile couples anything up to a year or more to concieve so dont worry if it doesnt happen straight away...good luck!

I was pretty much the same. Came off the pill in November, and was pregnant at the beginning of January, I did several pregnancy tests that were negative, then did one with another brand of test and it was positive.
