There are rumors of Notre Dame, wouldn't that be an ultimate screw job? I say Florida or LSU for sure. No way should Notre Dame get ANY marquee game just because of their name and popularity value. THEY SUCK, AND GOT SPANKED ALREADY..............TWICE!!!

Alot of people are telling you that it will be Florida, but it won't be. Here's why... If Florida wins the SEC, they'll take the auto bid to the Sugar Bowl for their conference. If they lose, they'll take an at-large bid to the Orange Bowl becasue it's only a few hours from Gainesville, the fans will follow, and they'll get to beat up on Wake Forest; all of which is good for recruiting in the state.

If USC wins out, and Michigan ends up settling for the Rose Bowl, you'll see them play LSU. The Rose Bowl committee doesn't want a 2 loss Notre Dame team that has been slaughtered by more than 20 points each time to stink up the "Grand Daddy of Them All". Not that LSU will be anymore of a challenge for Big Blue, but at least it will be something different.

yea, I've heard the same....of Notre Dame and Michigan meeting in the Rose Bowl. Although I would like to see Michigan play Florida, we gotta remember that the winner of the PAC-10 gets an automatic spot in the Rose Bowl, and since USC may be going to the national title game, that spot would then go to Notre Dame. So, if USC goes to play Ohio, Notre Dame is definitely in the Rose Bowl. With that, Michgan is the likely candidate to receive an invitation to the Rose Bowl; this is because the Rose Bowl is second only to the national title game. So, the number 3 team in the nation, if not a PAC-10 school, would get the invitation to southern California.

Unfortunately I think Michican will be playing Notre Dame, which is a complete crock! I would like to see a Michigan vs Florida game, that would be good! Notre Dame should be playing Arkansas for the two teams that cannot beat good teams.

extraordinarily specific Vanderbilt is the shaggy dog tale of the SEC... a minimum of for activities. No group, surprisingly Ohio State, could ever do this. i'm nevertheless waiting for them to magically bounce frog Wisconsin and take the Rose Bowl spot someway. The BCS loves Ohio State. i'm undecided Michigan State extremely merits the BCS bowl any further than Ohio State does besides. I hate that there are in basic terms 2 communities from each convention allowed in BCS bowls a 12 months. Michigan state is in basic terms going to could desire to be extremely joyful with the Capital One Bowl.

You're right. Notre Dame shouldn't be in a BCS bowl game at all. Florida will probably lose to Arkansas in the SEC title game, so Michiagan may end up playing the Razorbacks, or Louisville, maybe even Boise State.

Michigan would go to the Rose Bowl if they don't play in the nat'l championship game.
I don't believe the Rose Bowl would select a team from the deep south, they'd go with Notre Dame cause they'd get better TV ratings nationally.

Florida or Arkansas, it depends on who wins between the two. But I also think that Boise State would be nice, they are the only other unbeaten team in college and will whine if they don't get a high level game. Of course Carr is going to have to stop choking and win a bowl game.

The fact of the matter is that the people who run the Rose Bowl game have their choice as to who they want to play in the game, assuming USC goes to the title game, out of all of the BCS candidates. What the public wants or who deserves to be in the game boils down to a strictly businesss decision.

The BCS is lame, they'll pick a team where their "fans travel well" with the team to make as much money as possible. I'd sadly say Nebraska despite their ranking. That's how the BCS works. It's money first than rankings after the title game itself.
