If you are do you ever wish you had siblings,or is it the other way round,do you wish you were an only child?
i have 3 sisters and two brothers and we all get on great most of the time,there has been times when i've wished i was an only child but really i'm so glad i have a big family.

im not the only child and i am confortable with my 3 sis and 2 bros... we're one big happy family.....

I was an only child till I was 14, then my Mum had two girls in two years! I loved being an only child as I had a rich imagination and could play for hours by myself (I still like my own company). But to have two baby sisters, when you're 14 and 16 was amazing! I'm so glad that I have siblings now, as they are older and have turned into good friends. I don't know how I would have felt about brothers or sisters when I was younger though!

Am an only child, which is why I made sure to have 2 children. Still which I had 2 brothers and 2 sisters at least. My husband has one sister, not very close, can't have children and doesn't want to get married. Where does that leave my children when it comes to aunts, uncles, and cousins? Lonely. If I was better off, financially, I'd probably have 2 or 3 more kids.

I am an only child and that is the only way I ever wanted it to be. When I was a kid and I went to play at my friends houses who all had brothers and sisters, both older and younger, all I ever saw was fighting, arguing, and general annoyance - "MUM! - He jsut did this" or "DAD! - she just took my whatever" I was often glad to go back to my own home where the only argument I had was with the dog!
My wife has a younger sister who she says she didn't get along with growing up but now she is my wife's closest relative - even above their parents.
We have a daughter together and my wife wants another child but for all the reasons above, both good and bad, I find myself torn both ways terribly.
I would like to watch the answers to this question come in to try to come to a decision myself.

I'm an only child, and I have never wished for siblings. I guess you never miss what you don't have. I always had a great life as an only child.

I was any only child. I did and still do wish I had siblings. Good or bad people need family.

not an only child i have 4 brothers and 4 sisters and its great i would hate to be an only child especilly at holidays like christmas getting up on your own no one to share the excitement its lonely and thats why i had more than one child my nephew is an only child and he wants some one to stay in his house at christmas cause he wants someone to share it with so love having lots of family even if we dont get on most the time

Yes, I'm an only child and I have never wished for other siblings, older or younger. I like the way things are and would never change them.

NO i am not an only child, i have 5 sisters and 1 brother, whom which of none a see, so all you people who complain about your siblings imagine being told your not allowed to see your brother and sisters its heart breaking!!!! -x-
