The reason i ask for step ins is because i have dislocated 2 of my fingers and will struggle to do the rachets up.I know they are not as good as rachets but its easeir for me at this present time.
But thanks for all the info anyway

Yep you're talking about Switch bindings. http://www.switchbindings.com/ They sell them on this site http://www.nextag.com/switch-bindings/search-html

Or another alternative is to check eBay
http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?cgiurl=http%3A%2F%2Fcgi.ebay.com%2Fws%2F&fkr=1&from=R8&satitle=switch+bindings&category0=&submitSearch=Search

Step in bindings are known for the beginner snowboarders, if you want to look more professional, I would use the strap in bindings. The advantages to step in bindings: all you have to do is step on your board and you're all strapped in and ready to go, so you will be off to the lift a lot faster. Some disadvantages are that they always freeze up and are hard to line up correctly while frozen, and they are not that safe. (The boots might come out of the step in bindings, so you need a leash for your board) In my opinion, I would get the strap in bindings because I go snowboarding a lot and I own my snowboard/boots. If you are looking to buy a snowboard, definitely go with the strap in bindings, but if you are only renting for a few days, think of those reasons that I gave you. I hope I helped!

The bindings are called Switch Bindings. A simple google search will find you tons of these...

You really need strap-ins. I got to say that they are better. Step in bindings are not as responsive and are less comfortable.

you could listen to that other guy if you want. if you really want step in bindings. what i think is you should buy a new pair of boots. ones for strap in bindings, not step in. then buy strap in bindings. in my opinion theyre WAY better. they have better response and they dont icee up and become a real pain.
