I'll just put them all in a calculator (I am using the one in windows)
21 over 9 2.33333333...
9 over 4 2.25
8 over 3 2.66666666
14 over 5 2.8
2 and one half 2.5
1 and four fiths 1.8
So it goes 14/5, 8/3, 2 and one half, 21/9, 9/4, 1 and four fifths
if you want to do it 'proper' you would need to get the denominator all the same (lowest common denominator)
fractions: 21/9, 9/4, 8/3, 14/5, 5/2, 9/5
(two and a half is 2 + 1/2 = 4/2 + 1/2 = 5/2,
one and four fiths is 1 + 4/5 = 5/5 + 4/5 = 9/5)
Now convert all denomintors into multiples of prime numbers:
fractions: 21/(3*3), 9/(2*2), 8/3, 14/5, 5/2, 9/5
so the lowest common denominator is 3*3*2*2*5 = 180
(quite big...)
now 21/9 = (21*2*2*5)/(9*2*2*5) = 420 / 180
fractions were:
21/9 , 9/4 , 8/3 , 14/5 , 5/2 , 9/5
fractions with same denominator:
420/180, 405/180, 480/180, 504/180, 450/180, 324/180.
and I think you can work out the order from there.

21/2 = 10.5
9/4 = 2.25
8/3 = 2.66667
14/5 = 2.8
So, the sequence is 21/2 8/3 14/5 9/4
