I must say I was hurt when Peter Fonda and Dennis Hopper get killed. Not to mention when Jack Nickleson was kileed. Anybody else, or just general thoughts on the movie...?

Easy Rider had to end that way. It perfectly captures the turmoil that surrounded the time. So many people where busy trying to find themselves, and more people where dead against the lifestyle that that created. There was a lot of violence and intolerance going on. People with long hair where all 'hippies' and were all thought to be dirty, with no jobs, and no respect for our country, our values and our way of life. The other people were 'the establishment', 'the man', or were all brainwashed by the establishment into believing change was bad and the world should stay as it was, and that we belonged doing such things as being involved in the Vietnam war. Violence was rampant. So, yes, the ending of the movie was shocking and hurtful, but it forever preserves one of the more controversial periods of our history.

Whoa! Breaking out an old school movie, definetly a classic. I liked the movie and the ending was a little strange kinda made the whole movie seem a little pointless.

Because they have seen what happened. The blood runs up to their brain and that they were shocked. But why worry about anyone? Worry your self for worrying anyone who were shocked...As the saying or what the... that it takes only 5 muscles when you smile while it takes more when you frown.
