The fact of the matter is that the world has changed, our society has changed and we as people have changed in the past 200 years.

Despite that - our government still serves the same purposes as the originally designed. Generally the people who think that things do not 'work' hold minority opinions that are not shared by the rest of us.

Our founders fought in vain for our future. We the American people have been paying for wars of the past. Taxes that is. Used to be no taxation without representation. Now we have an illegal organization called the IRS. We fought to rid ourselves of this burden only to return to it like a dog to its vomit. We the American people have been whipped into submission. Never to raise our voices together as one people against the tyranny of bad government. Afraid to fight. I say the whole nation should go on strike to protest our nations government changing our rights to better line their pockets with money. It was "Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness." If our founding fathers were to see into the future they would have made sure to put a little extra something in our amendments. These may never be changed. It's about time for REVOLUTION!

absolutely not, our freedoms have been eroded by the coruptioness in governement, take a look at the bill of rights a very concise set of ammendments (1-10) then look at how they have been changed or forgotten! Next recall that the revolutionary war was inspired by taxation , and income tax was forbideen in the consitution! Yet that was repealed too by a later ammendment!
