A long time ago, I was waiting along the shores of Japan waiting for the Mongol hoarde to arrive. "Dang Mongols", I muttered while taking a bottle of vodka from my backpack.

Vodka by itself was probably not going to be enough to repel the hoary lot, so I got a liquor brought by some European missionaries - smelling slightly of oranges that was very, very, very sweet but had a name that perversely meant "triple dry".

I took 3 jiggers of the vodka, 1 jigger of the Triple Sec, mixed it all together. I was going to drink the sweet smelling vodka martini-like cocktail under a tree while waiting for the Khan's fleet to disgorge its angry army. A toast... a toast to the end of life.

At that moment, a lime fell from the tree and into my drink - its tart juice making my glass slightly cloudy.

It was then that a storm blew and sent the Khan's fleet to the bottom of the ocean...

and that, my friends, is how my life was saved by a Kamikaze.

True story. I swear it. I have the wood block print to prove it.

Have you ever heard of a cocktail called a "Machine Gun"? Basically, it's a machine gun with a drop of whiskey on the end. Back in the bad old days, it saved my life more than once.

I was about to answer no, but come to think of it, considering you never know what can happen, there's a chance a drink I had one time saved me from being rolled over by a car or something.

That's enough to convince me I should keep having drinks. lol

Yes, once I was really depressed, and I drank a lot of Bacardi, and I was no longer depressed. I'm not saying it saved me from being suicidal, but hey, you never know!

A screaming orgasm always makes life worth living, but that's an ongoing tale and has little to do with alcohol!...
