and if u wanna know more about christmas just go through this
Christmas or Christmas Day is an annual Christian and secular holiday that celebrates the birth of Jesus. It is traditionally observed on December 25. Eastern Orthodox Churches celebrate it on January 7, which corresponds to December 25 of the Julian calendar. These dates are merely traditional; the precise chronology of Jesus' birth and death is still debated. Christmas has many aspects, both religious and secular, including the exchange of gifts, Santa Claus, decoration and display of the Christmas tree, and religious ceremonies.
The popularity of Christmas can be traced in part to its status as a winter festival. Many cultures have historically celebrated their most important holiday in winter because there is less agricultural work to do at this time. Examples of winter festivals that have influenced Christmas include the pre-Christian festivals of Yule[1] and Saturnalia. Many of the traditions associated with the holiday have origins in these pagan winter celebrations.

Christmas is about what ever you make it. If you are religious you have your beliefs about Jesus and if your not, like me, Its about the joy of giving. Christmas is a fairy tail that we promote. Santa comes down the chimney and fills your stocking and leaves some presents. He also leaves a mess with the cookies and milk. My kids even went as far as leaving some cheese for him after that commercial came out a few years back. Now they know Santa isn't real they still try it. I just don't have to leave the Santa gifts at the bottom of the stack anymore. Its a time to spend with family. That's what Christmas is for me, and my family.

do u think so?
Uh, The meaning that now-a-days Christmas has forgotten.
but i think Christmas not just shpping or something
is a time of God showing His great love for us. It can be a time of healing and renewed strength. You see, Christmas is when we celebrate the birth of the Christ child. God sent His Son, Jesus, into the world to be born. His birth brought great joy to the world.
We can truly be happy at Christmas! No matter what may be happening, we can know that we are His children. We then become sons and daughters of God. Heaven will be our home one day.
Look at Christmas in a new way this year. This is the year to invite Jesus into your heart. You will then have a "Merry Christmas." The joy and peace you will receive will last all year as you look to God for all your needs to be met.

Originally and truely, Christmas is the Christian celebration of Jesus Christs birth who came into this world to save our sins. Over time though, santa claus and money, shopping and presents have changed what most people think Christmas is about.
So what should Christmas mean to you? Try reading the first four books of the new testiment in the Bible. :)

Once when I was a kid it aws about celebrating the birth of Christ and spending time with your family. Now it so comercialized that I hate it and think of it only as another day. I will buy something for my kids but you might as well think of me as Scrooge because the real meaning of Christmas has been lost.

Christmas is SUPPOSE to be about Jesus, that he was born and died for our sins. So we no longer have to make blood sacrifices of animals. Jesus's blood washed away our sins so we can live an eternal life.
But sadly, commercialism has taken over Christmas so that they can get people to spend ridiculous amounts of money and keep us all in debt forever.

It's celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. It's about giving. Easter isn't about bunnies either. I don't know who made that up, it's about the resurrection of Jesus Christ. He rose on the third day .. Easter.
