Cottage Grove is located 20 miles from Eugene, OR and is, for the most part, a very nice suburb type of city. There is a lot of history in the town and I am an old friend of the city manager. He's done some nice things while serving in Cottage Grove. It has a lot going for it - it's close enough to Eugene to allow you to have the benefits of a larger city, but far enough away so you don't have the problems. It not so small that everyone knows your business, but still small enough that you run across people you know almost daily. It's located on the I-5 corridor, so you have good roads and easy access to the rest of the state. The climate is very nice - not too hot, not too cold. Yes, it does get a little bit of snow, but it's usually just a dusting. The schools are well rated, they have re-opened their hospital, and crime is manageable. People tend to be friendly and it is growing in size.

Hope this helps.
