It seems to be at first but if you look - its a verb - to roll about, not the noun, troll.
A woman regarded as slovenly or untidy; a slattern.
2. A strumpet.

A troll is a fearsome member of a mythical anthropomorph race from Scandinavia.

In Robert Asprins fantasy "Myth" novels, "Myth Conceptions", "Another Fine Myth", etc., he postulated multiple dimensions with numerous species of intelligent life. He had all kinds of fun, as did his readers, with playing word games. One of those dimensions was called "Trollia" where the men were all "trolls", and the women were all "tr*ll*ps". The word "tr*ll*p", you're right it's censored, is an old euphemism for a sl*t or wh*re. That is probably why it's censored. For what it's worth, I recommend the novels, they are hilarious.
