We all have our favourite websites but which ones are both cool and useful. 2 of my favourites are:

www.followus.co.uk - allows you to track a UK mobile (I use it as a cheap vehicle tracker)

www.nethousepririce.co.uk - see the actual sale price of property in the UK

For me it is Google Earth. I am a gepgraphy and mapping buff. I enjoy being able to zoom in on places that I have never been.

I Like Yahoo answersto kill time and sometimes learn something useful. Sometimes let loose a tirade of angst on someone who does not have a clue what they are talking about.

I need TRANSLATIONS quite often, so my most useful site is :

http://babelfish.altavista.com/

but it must be used with caution! Accurate computer translating is a long way off, and some results obtained here are quite hilarious! To be sure that you have not been given a truly bad translation, for example one that is the exact OPPOSITE of the intended message (believe me -- this really does happen!), you will need to reverse translate the result. The new result should be close to your original sentence, else you need to tinker with the original input, trying simpler sentence construction, maybe.

Without this website I would be really lost. Using a dictionary for word by word translation of long sentences in an unfamiliar language is a pain.

Most amazing to me is the fact that ENGLISH is not quite as universal as we are led to believe. Many people in Europe hardly know a word of English, so communication with them must of necessity be in their own language.

The cool aspect of this? Well, I am slowly picking up other languages, word by word, and sentence by sentence, and learning something new every day.

http://www.Yahoo.com of course!

Yahoo Search gives you better answers when you are shopping. (http://www.Google.com is still the #1 Search Engine.)

The eMail service is hard to beat! From anywhere on the planet I can check my eMail! (Including the 100 or so I have forwarded from my web sites!)

Yahoo! Answers is fast becoming my favorite place to get an answer!

Yahoo Maps works great.

Yahoo! is my Homepage, I have 2 pages of information readily available there!

Yadda Yadda Yadda
