Got friendly to somoene through the net, talked on phone. he said he liked me alot, asked what I wanted for xmas etc... eventually wanted to meet, but after two days had a change of heart, I continued to text just general 'hellos etc' but no reply... I know I should'nt be texting at all !!! my fingers are not listening to my head!!! HELP !!!

You have to think that there COULD be a very good explanation why he isnt returning any of your texts. Try texting him and saying, "is everything ok? Ive not heard from you for a while. If your no longer interested then thanks for what we have shared but lifes too short and im moving on". If you dont get a reply to that then you have your answer. If hes a genuin guy he will reply, even if its short n sweet like "ive got a few probs at the mo but will chat soon". Leave it at that. Give it a week if you here nothing then move on with your life.
You have to also consider, meeting people online they dont have to be totally honest with you (even if you think they have been). He maybe married or already have a girlfriend, he just hasnt told you that bit or hes twisted the truth abit. He maybe one of these charming players who just gets a kick out of meeting women online, chatting to them, getting there number, making them feel special and then arranging to meet. Then at the last minute turning you down and moving onto his next bit of pleasure.
Has he ever made comments or suggestions about you two sleeping together or made ANY such sexual remarks? Have you played along with these or have you said no etc etc. You have lots of things to consider.

Obviously this person is not interested in you (for whatever reason) and he has sent a message loud and clear. Remember, his decision has nothing to do with you (especially if you have never even met). I would pray about it every night for a week and I think you will be surprised at how you feel after 7 days. Also, think back to other "crushes" you have had on people that you thought were sure winners and compare how you feel about them today. That will help you understand that you can indeed, get over him. Finally, I would put a post it note on my cell phone with the message: Is this what I REALLY want? That will remind you of what to expect every time you text or call: nothing.

hi, has this guy actually said he doesn't want to meet now or has he just disappeared, if he has just disappeared then he may have had an accident or something unforeseen has come up, but if you have his phone number ring him and ask what is wrong, but bear in mind that not all people on here are what they seem for all you know hecould be married or even some old fat bloke in his 60's winding you up, just make sure he is who he is before you do meet him and always tell someone where you are meeting and meet in a public place, if this guy doesnt want to know then im afraid you will just have to admit you have done all you can and you need to move on, there are some genuine guys out there you just have to look.

Don't think the worst case scenario. Maybe he is somewhere without Internet access. Maybe he has some problem that is more serious than chatting.
Of course it goes without saying that you should have an alternative plan for your Christmas.
