THE FACTS BEHIND PARIS' FAME=>

Paris and her sister Nicky, because of their fortunate situation of being born into a rich Hotel Legacy fortune, were able to attend swank celebrity studded parties in both New York and Los Angeles as young as age 14.

The cameras were always flashing at these celeberity/socialite partys and the pictures showed up in Vanity Fair, "page six," and other celebrity gossip magazines. Being bright eyed teenages, dressed in designer fashions, and two young hot blonds together as one, the sisters had their pictures taken A LOT! Not because they were "famous," but because they were two young hot blonds at exclusive celebrity studded parites. The cameras couldn't help but take their pictures!

They gained notoriety within the celebrity sphere and party scene and in a sense, became "famous" before they were "famous."

Fox TV executives saw budding potential in these two "party girls" and approached Paris and her sister Nicky with the idea for a Reality TV show called "The Simple Life" (Reality TV shows were all the rage in 2003 and was gaurunteed to propel the Hilton sisters into the larger Celebrity realm and become "household names" and thus FAMOUS!!!!)

However, Nicky Hilton was not into the idea (as you can gather, Nicky isn't as "fame hungry" as our friend Paris) of exploiting herself on a trashy TV show, so Paris suggested her longtime Beverly Hills friend Nicole Richie to accompany her on "The Simple Life."

TV being what it is, the show was a success, and Paris Hilton became a known figure in American Celebrity pop culture. Her incessent quench for Fame has attracted cameras ever since, and because we live in such a celebrity obsessed culture, America feeds right into it, while simoultaneoulsy shunning her. Go Figure!
