I love 2 1/2 men,,, its the funniest show on t.v and I agree with you on Becker... FUNNY. I love Linda,,, come on, who could slack off like she does and keep a job? and Margaret the way she tells John what to do? I work for a Dr. and could never get away with it,,, great question

My opinion is just that opinion but your question said EVER so I'd have to say it's a dead on tie between All in the Family and M*A*S*H they were the first shows to demand an audience think as well as laugh and both shows touched on issues of social relevance. Now if you mean a show that just made you laugh your *** off I gotta go with a new one on HBO called Lucky Louie starring Louis CK

But we gotta give props to Friends, sometimes Will and Grace can be funny when nothing's on....
The King of Queens is alright too.
