I think both of them have different styles though they're same in being experimentive with their voice and... their vids; so that and doesn't mean they're worthy to be compared with each other. Gwen has come a very long way and I think Fergie needs to come a longer way to reach Gwen. But again, they have different styles... My opinion only! Since you're asking. ;)

Gwen Stefani, palms DOWN !!! Fergie is warm yet this is all she's have been given, she made a mistake going solo from BEP! i think of she would be in a position to do nicely together with her single yet Gwen has staying skill!

Gwen has a natural beauty to her....
Singing wise... I think both are great singers... but Fergie definately takes it on vocals...
Gwen sounds like she is making up songs in the shower... I mean.. spelling out Bananas... yodeling.... Wind it up? I can make up songs better than that in the shower. lol

About a year ago, I would of said Gwen almost immediatley. But now that Fergie has her solo album out, I have changed my mind. FERGIE ALL THE WAY BABY!

Gwen -- she is a more versatile singer. I'm not a fan of her latest single though.... but I love her last album and all of her work with No Doubt.
Fergie is talented too, but I don't think she compares to Gwen...give her time though.
