FEAR!

2006-11-27 22:09:34 · answer #1 · answered by status quo 2 · 0 0

Theory is as much a belief as faith is....... for me therefore even religion seems to be institutionalised to make one believe that there is God. Whether we believe in God or not, whatever the truth is, it is not going to alter on account of any belief or non-belief. Therefore, neither believers should worry about the non-believers nor should Darwin believers get worked up about those who believe in God. In any case, since both viewpoints are equally strongly believed by various people, no argument or debate can settle this issue one way or the other. So, the motto should be ........'just relax and remain steadfast in your own belief'.

Firstly, Darwin's theory (as modified by subsequent discoveries) is not false. All the evidence clearly shows that all creatures are descended from a common ancestor, through the processes of evolution.

Secondly, acceptance of evolutionary theory does not exclude belief in God. There is no reason why one cannot believe in God and accept the truth of evolution. Many of the most influential figures in evolutionary biology were religious - including one of the founders of the subject, Theodosius Dobzhansky.

More than 10,000 clergy have signed a statement saying, in part, "We the undersigned, Christian clergy from many different traditions, believe that the timeless truths of the Bible and the discoveries of modern science may comfortably coexist. We believe that the theory of evolution is a foundational scientific truth, one that has stood up to rigorous scrutiny and upon which much of human knowledge and achievement rests." Darwins Theory is still a Theory. It is not a law.A thoery when it has got proof only becomes law.Theory of Creation also remains as a theory,no proof. Why one gruop is against the other? Both are in the same place.

Why did man form organised religion and push the bible as the word of god making people believe evolution is false?

Religion = leap of faith, no proof needed just belief

Scientific Theory = a possible explanation for events based on evidence and plausibility.

It helps us understand the way living things work.
If you don't want to understand, you don't need to worry about it.
Carry on believing in God - Darwin's theories are not concerned with that.

darwins theory does not oppose the existence of a god, it opposes the theory of creationism. i would not claim there is no god, but i definately believe in darwins theory, largely because we can actually see it happening before our eyes. if thats not a theory.....

Actually many believers in God also believe in Darwins theory, they do not have to be exclusive of each other.

God`s creation is evolving according to his plan...
ignorant humans fight over things they can`t see
they`re looking out for truth, when they should be looking in.

'God is invisible looking out but can be seen forever looking in"
God and evolution are like an artist and his art.......
