You need to use a good quality water based foam leather cleaner. Maxi cleaner if it really dirty.

DO NOT use anything containing oils, waxes or silicones.

BABY WIPES are the worst thing you can use as they will destroy the finish on your leather.

Saddle soap is too harsh to use on todays furniture.

You should also follow this with a good water based leather protector which will act like a 'scotchgard' and inhibit dirt and stains from being absorbed and make cleaning easier the next time.

If the leather has dye transfer from clothing or is very very dirty you can use a stronger cleaner called maxi cleaner which will probably bring it up well but must be used with care as it is a strong product developed especially for this kind of problem.

Cleaning Leather Furniture Leather furniture adds a rich, luxurious feel to any room. Many people are choose to have their couches and chairs in different fabrics because they don't know how to go about cleaning leather furniture. It's acutually quite simple. In fact, most leather furniture can just be wiped clean with a damp sponge. Every now and then a common household cleaner can be sprayed on giving it an extra shine. When you consider what you have to go through when removing spots and stains from upholstered couches, leather furniture cleaning is clearly a more convenient option.

I have had success topically cleaning leather coats by using baby wipes. Just rub gently and then buff with a clean soft cloth. To be safe, try an inconspicuous area first.

A very mild detergent will clean leather, use a very soft cloth. When finished, dry and then use baby lotion to keep the leather soft and subtle.
