Not all of them are.
People who are not making any effort to help themselves are looked down upon.
People who bring children into the world when they can't support themselves are looked down upon.
People who expect the world to look after them and offer nothing back are looked down upon.
People who are trying to do something to improve their situation are not looked down upon.
Fair enough?

Some people automatically assume that welfare recipients are abusing the system and that they are losers who could be out working but are too lazy. Some people just don't understand that not all problems are visible and that sometimes people really can't work and have legitimate reasons. Sadly, the people who abuse the system give the rest a bad name.

I think welfare is a good idea but I believe many are looked down on because a majority of them abuse the system. Money comes out of my paycheck and I don't like paying for people that have no ambition in life and just want to suck from the tit of society.

Welfare is a necessary thing...for people who are *unable* to work. What gives welfare recipients a bad name is that some of them *choose* not to work, or work under the table and receive their check as a supplemental income and live in luxury. Hard-working people whose taxes pay to support those who simply are lazy naturally resent it.

They are not. When there are generations of unwed welfare mothers under one roof, when people come into our country illegally and draw welfare, no one is misjudging them.

i don't know its so unfair.these people who need help probley paid taxes at one time too.and if not so what there humans who need help.

becose of all the people that get it and don't deserive it.... it's asumed everyone is like that....
becose well.. people are stupid
