and if you do, do you really read all the answers given..? I notice that the first answer got the most number of votes eventhough it doesn't deserve.. is it because people here don't care about other's questions/answers? they just want points that's why they cast their vote?.. do points really matter here?

I think, they vote for the first answer because it's time consuming if they will read all the answers and browse it.

I do read answers. I chose the one that is similar to my opinion, or really consider as best one.
I like points, but... I really like to have them coz I deserve them, as anything in life.

i just voted after reading my first undecided question. Maybe they should limit the number of responses. Have the asker choose among the top 3, 5, or 10 answers. I almost didn't get all the way through the answers b/c some of them were lengthy. I thought about just picking the first answer that I liked but I felt guilty about not reading the rest. But now, I'm almost at level 2 so I'm going to find some undecided questions on topics that I like & pick up some points!

Yes. You are correct, I rarely read all the answers, but sometimes I do. I do read at least a few to see if there really is a good one. I have noticed some really bad answers get voted best answer simply because they are first. I will not vote for a bad answer. Even if all the answers are bad, I just go to another question. Points really only matter until you get to level 5, because then you have unlimited questions and answers.

I do sometimes when I have the time and yes, I read all the answers and vote for the one I would have given best answer to.

Yes, sometimes I vote. And I read all the answers first. Maybe some of the other voters are jerks and agree with the bad answers. But yea, they probably do it just for the points.

I know to me it appears some people do not, and even why some cast votes to some answers I cannot understand. Takes all sorts I suppose.
I do think some people vote just for the first one. Why?

Yea...i don't get that either...why dont people read the answers and give the right person the credit instead of being lazy and giving the first answer the credit?! hmm...our world today..

I do when I know the answer. I also read answers beforehand so I don't repeat it. And I only gives thumbs up if I completely agree and thumbs down if what was said was completely inappropriate or rude. I can disagree but that doesn't deserve a thumbs down. Good question.
