Here is a mans perspective:
I Decided I didn’t want children at about 15. I got a vasectomy at 21. I never want children. I don’t know how many other men don’t. I am told that about %6.6 if women in America don’t.
Anyway, I got my vasectomy almost 20 years ago, and don’t regret it in the slightest. Most of my friends have kids, and needless to say, they don’t get to go on expensive vacations like myself, and my girlfriend do.
I have had some trouble dating. Some women will not go past the first date if a man is sterile, others will consider a sterile man as an “f-buddy” but that is about it. Some will say nasty things like, “Well thanks a lot, you decided that I will never have children before you ever met me! Goodbye!”. Seriously, they don’t take it well.
Even though I had trouble dating, I still think I made the right choice!
I met a nice girlfriend that does not want children. We have been together for four years.
I know other couples that did the same. As far as I know, none of them regret it.

I decided not to have kids years ago but then I hit 30 and my body was screaming out to have a baby. No-one was more surprised than me. Very sadly my son died when he was 2. I decided not to have any more. I think it was mainly a wise decision but the only drawback for me is that all my friends will become grandparents and will always have family around them. I'll just get old on my own.

I decided not to have kids and I don't regret it. My mother's side of the family has a mental illness problem. It seemed irresponsible to pass that on. I guess I could have adopted but my career and traveling filled up my time.

I never loved anyone enough to have kids with, besides I really didn't want to bring kids into this world the way it is getting. I don't regret it at all.

Me. loud/screaming/hyper kids make me nervous, (many tell me if they were my kids, it would be different, I guess that's true,) but I'm happy being single & no kids to deal with. I'm not ready for it.

Babies are cute
Children are annoying
Teenagers are hell
Easy to forget the two second stages.
