I don't think you can pin all the blame on young people most of the time they're just emulating (and magnifying) what they've learned though their elders.

Your attribution of teenagers as the blame for "social problem" (whatever ambiguous thing you seem to think you can lump so horrendously into that one single phrase) is short-sighted and foolish. Teenagers are malleable creatures who embrace and push away a number of different things in a society based upon innumerable factors. Who is to blame then when they are bombarded with the media images of what they should be, which is packaged and parsed out to them by the adults of the world in such an appealing way that allows them to be accepted by their peers?

Teenagers are the monsters made. Accept that the "social problem(S)" are not so easily clumped into one single scapegoat and get on with it. The nineteen-year-old has spoken.

Teenagers are NOT the main contribution...it is the refusal to recognize the fact that they are adults in everyway as the rest of us and treat them as such...ethically...socially and LEGALLY that is the problem

To fix the problem we need to to lower ALL the age restrictions from 18 or 21 to 13...let them make the decisions they should be making...stop interfering and treating them like they are imcompetant. Give them the rights the deserve...the ones they have earned that go along with the responsibilities that we heap upon them...the one right that is denied to them but given to EVERY OTHER ADULT...the right to choose the path of their own life....

Your over generalizing, probably because of personal experience. But I have Known 10 year olds who cleaned and took care of the home and held things togeather. I've also known old people who never grew up and never would even into their 90's.
