Are you from South Africa Laural? A vuvuzela is a long, plastic trumpet like instrument that you blow into causing a very loud truck honking kinda noise.

Tell me what the celebration is for. You have to know that this is a European site and people could be answering from anywhere in the world, as it is not South African, it is meant for people who want to ask SA related travel qeustions. I don't like vuvuzelas, but would love to hear them right now, that is how much I miss home I guess.

I'm from RSA, I know what a vuvuzela is but unfortunately not everyone in the world knows what a vuvuzela is. But I know what u mean, South Africa is one of the most happening countries in the universe......

What's a vuvuzela?? Obviously not!!!! Or I'd know what you were talking about!! Thanks, I've learned a new word....And I'm glad people outside MY home don't have a vuvuzela....it sounds annoying as hell.
