Would you help a stranger in need?

If you were on your way to visit someone in a jail, driving in your car, down a long dirt road, that's a 1/4 of a mile long, with no sidewalks, no short cuts(just barb wire fencing) and you saw a young, pregnant black woman on crutches,going the same direction, trying to flag you down, would you stop to help or would you wave back and drive faster?

Look, I read some answers and ya'll dont get what i'm asking. YOU are going to a MENS jail. Its like TEN yards away and SHE NEEDS A RIDE TO THE SAME PLACE YOU ARE GOING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DAY IN DAYLIGHT AT 12 O CLOCK NOON...you won't know what she is waving her arms for until you ask but its fairly obvious because she's on crutches and the ground is uneven.Get it? Will you STOP AND ASK?

by the way, the road is NOT desolate. its narrow with a sherriff's office, parking garage and bank on the north side and the long, long wall of the jail, surrounded by barb wire fencing, on the south side. There are plenty of security gaurds mosying around but their not aloud to give rides to people while their on duty.

HELL NO!!!!

Last time I gave a ride to a black woman and her "daughter", who were walking down the road, I got robbed.
They were carrying a gas can, on the freeway.

I gave them a ride to the gas station, gave them $ for gas, drove them back to their car, and when I went to get my phone out of my bag to let them know, at work, I was going to be a little late, my phone, wallet, paycheck, and $200 was gone..

Never ever again. I don't care who it is. NEVER!!!
I don't care if they are black, white or purple.
NEVER AGAIN!!!!

When you are driving near a correcional facility, there are signs all over the place saying "DO NOT PICK UP HITCH HIKERS"... for very good reasons.

Of course I would help her! What *ss hole wouldn't? My God the poor thing is pregnant and on crutch's and it is the middle of the day! Jeez you don't even have to drive her that far!! Damn I bet you would if it was a wight women! Like she can hurt you when she is on crutch's any way!

pretty grim scene especiallhy with the pregnant black woman on crutches.....you do have a vivid imagination for someone going on a visit to the jail.

I suppose any normal human being would stop to help. The only hitch would be the fear of any consequences.

Yes. But be very careful if you've seen the movie breakdown (starring Kurt Russell) I'm afraid it gives me a phobia.

I believe I would help her because who knows I could be in that same situation and I hope someone would do the same for me,but I wuold also be careful or If I didn't pick her up I would call the police so they could help her.

Go faster. If someone put her out on that desolate stretch, she might be armed and crazy.

I wish I could.... But I'd call the cops and tell them where this person is. Now a days, you just don't know what's lurking out there! Sadly...

I would hesitantly try to help her, but be very cautious while with her. And would drop her off at the earliest possible time....
