Someone's been reading Ursula K. Le Guin. Interesting stuff...have a look at Left Hand of Darkness if you haven't already read it.
Do you mean gender, a sociological construct, or sex, a physical one? If you mean gender, well, get a big pitcher and some pizza and several good friends, because it's a long discussion in the making.

Then you would also have to ask if you would like there to not be a concept of race. So your asking for everyone to be the same. That takes the joy out of living. The unique choices people make is often what makes them special. There are certain distinctions that have to be made in order for us to have diversity as a society and as humans in general.

No..... We would never get to enjoy the prosperity seen in the eyes of children when there is no gender......
I like that God created both male and female.... We may not all get along, but I like what was done on the days when God created what He saw was good..... The only thing I'd change, is death to it...... Which He will as promised......

Very much so...
It's not like it maters much...
But fact is with male, female, and intersex people out there there will always be a consept of gender... one will form if there isn't.
EDIT- CONSEPT people.... CONSEPT... the idea of diffrent genders... not sexes. Besides gender is a mental thing, sex is phsyical.
She's asking if people where aware they where male or female.. but saw no diffrance at all in being one or the other.

I'd like it if there were no concept of gender roles. I like being female, but I hate being told I can't do something because I'm female.

We'd be a conformist society. We'd be like everyone else. How boring. I bet the suicide rate would be almost 90%.
