I'm looking to rent a room in New York and was wondering if there is a difference between a studio apartment and a regular apartment.

So if a studio is just one open space, how do 2 people in a studio apartment normally live together? Do they somehow section off part of the room or is there zero privacy?

Studios tend to be smaller , and apartments tends to have sectioned off rooms as opposed to a studio which is generally an open space.
