I don't know if its possible, but it would be nice if there is a method to prevent hamsters from pregnancy after their first delivery. Some people suggested me to separate the father and the mother but I still want them to live in the same cage. Can this be done through proper diet ?

There's no way to keep hamsters from mating except keeping them separated.

You'll want to separate the mother and father anyway... Male hamsters aren't known for being good fathers. Having the male around can stress the female too much, resulting in her abandoning or even eating her babies (unfortunately, that happens sometimes). Also, if the father is particularly territorial or moody, he may kill or eat the babies himself.

Only way is to separate them. We bought a guinea pig, very similar to a hamster, a few years ago... unknown to us, she was pregnant at the time. Anyway, a few months later, one guinea pig turned into about 17. Separation is the only solution unless you want a cagefull of redneck hamsters.

Go to your vet and purchase a small disc of hamster birth control.
You'll need to feed this to your hamster daily, and make sure you don't miss a day, since you'll be responsible for giving it to her and she can't do it herself.

I'm joking, of course.

Seperate your damn hamsters. If you don't want them to breed, don't allow them to be near each other. Sheesh.

get a separate cage. You can put them side by side if you think they will miss each other. they can send letters through the bars or something but they do have to be separated.

You can only do it by separting them. No diet is going to prevent them from doing what nature intended.

You MUST keep them seperated if you do not want them to breed.
Nothing about the diet will keep animals from breeding.
