Though Ganguly is the most successful Captain of Indian Cricket, his performance as a Batsman towards the *** end of his carreer was not at all impressive. Still he was retained as the Captain of Indian Team. His exit from the captaincy was mainly due to his own fault as he refused to Captain the Indian Senior Team in the Challenger Trophy and last minute Dravid was appointed as Captain. From that time onwards bad time of Ganguly started. Since Rahul Dravid was performing well, selectors continued him as a Captain and Ganguly found it difficult to come back to the team as his performance after that was not at all satisfactory.

Once a player goes out of the team he has to struggle hard to make a come back by some exceptional performance in whatever opportunities he gets. In Ganguly's case he failed to do so.

Hence no one else except Ganguly can be blamed for the present state of affairs.

YES and we stupid fans thought that Chappell & More were improving Indian cricket by kicking Ganguly and dropping players like Zaheer Khan ...

if form & fitness really were the key factors for selection / rejection (as we were told to believe by M/s Chappell More & Co.), then how come Sehwag is still there ...

Ganguly is proven quality but is getting older. However they only kicked him out because they're fools!! He can still make a comeback and tip Hussey of the top in onedayers

if they same thing with other players too then we may end up with no cricket team cause they all are pathetic. If this time dada would have been in the team entire blame would have come on him instead of individual poor perforamance. Im glad he is not in team to take bashing because of other team member's idiotic game.
