The internet seldom asks me - but some of the sites on it do.

If you don't want them to have it - just lie.

Also, give them a different mail account that you never check (I use hotmail mainly). You can sign up for dozens of them free.
You can also tell where you started getting the spam from if you change your middle initial or name when you sign up.

I don't give out any personal info on the net unless it's a secure site, which this is not. You can tell because it doesn't have the little padlock in the corner.
And if some site wants my address then they can look it up for themselves.
If birth dates are wanted and I really want on the place, then I give a fake one and let them deal with it like it's real. But I refuse to give out my home address or phone number.
I don't want companies calling or sending me more junk mail, I have enough of that already. lol

You never should give out personal information over the internet. If you do want to make sure there is not something saying we will be sending stalkers to this address. Only ever give out information to secure website (eg yahoo, youtube, bank sites and other big companies without history of stalkings). If you don't just think about it. do they need your email address. If there going to be sending a prize to it and you want it then yes do it (providing its a safe site). Usually you don't have to because if you are going to get something shipped to you through buying something or winning something they will always ask for your shipping info when you win/buy it.

Dont tell us you are too honest to give a fake address. Any straight forward kind of person will have no reservations about telling his address.
