I have been to the DR. and nothing is wrong.. but I dont want to douche every day to make him happy! We sweat.. down there.. and that is a big part of the stink (which only he would know about) The vagina has a natural odor when wet... He complains when I use FDS.. He says it tastes bad. I dont know what to do.. I bathe daily.

Shower or take a bath before anything sexual. Someone said diluted vinegar, that's an excellent answer! I'd guess 1 part vinegar to 4 parts water, put it in a squeeze bottle and squirt it on the outside of your vaginal area, let sit for a couple minutes, then rinse with water. It works great.

If you're having trouble with yeast infections or staying dry, blow dry yourself down there after bathing/showers, it's wetter than you might think, and definitely use panty liners. FDS is bad, it just covers up the smell and can cause yeast infections. I'm sure it would taste bad.

I always douche before anything sexual, (vinegar & water) it's just so much more comfortable for both, at least that's what I think. I don't have sex everyday though and would not douche everyday either.

If he doesn't give you oral, don't give him any.. lol Tell him to suck it up. ;)

Speaking for myself, and as a man, I do prefer a vag. that smells like nothing. Although women go thru some internal chemical changes from time to time that can alter the odor of ones vag, an unbearable stench is more than just a turn off, it can be stomach turning.
It's rare when a vag smells like nothing, unless your fresh out of the shower. My wife always has a hint of an aroma,(unless she's fresh out of the shower) but rarely is it to the degree that it's unpleasant.
I guess my next question would be, on a scale of 1 to 10, how bad is it. If the answer is anything above a 5, it can be an issue.
I noticed in your question you state that you don't want to douche everyday to make him happy. If he's gettin on ya every day, it can't be that bad, now can it.
Start complaining about he smells down there, and maybe he'll lighten up on ya.

Vinegar is the neutralizer used in douches. Don't know how much you might want to dilute it & then wipe down. Also drinking lots of water helps to detoxify the body's systems and can cut back considerably on all body odors.
Check with your Dr. re. possible Candida overgrowth, and try taking a non-dairy probiotic such as Jarrow Dophilus.
Talk with your OB?GYN & ask not only her advise, but what her patients have reported to work for them.
Take good care of yourself.

So, i'm a guy, how i came across your question, I'm not sure... i think i was checking out someone else's answers, but...i can't imagine what most women put up with as far as "man funk" down below. There is a natural scent to the sex organs, even after a nice scrub, and especially during the whole "love making" process... not to sound cold, but you know. Maybe your boyfriend's just seen too much porn and still isn't used to the physical experience.

oh and P.S. > it kinda sounds like your DR. is the "He" in your question : P

joke...

As you have said, vagina has a natural odor. The odor is there even if it is not wet. Most men like the smell (natural odor) and would advice you not to try using anything get out of this natural odor. It real turns them on

vaginas are always going to smell like vaginas... they never smell like nothing. .. he'll just have to learn to love it. only thing you can really do is take a bath as closely to right before sex as possible.

vaginas should either smell like nothing or have its own natural smell, keep in mind that after having sex it will smell diferent, its nor normal when it has a fish smell or it smells like vomit. and yes its normal for period blood to smell too.

Tell him that a lot of shallow divers hold their breath and simply come up for air periodically.
