Japanese Telop is used for non handicapped person as visual effects.

1. Where are you from?

2. How old are you?

3. What is the main difference between the TV shows your country and Japan?

4. Most Japanese TV shows use "telop (subtitle)". When you watch Japanese telop, how do you feel?
(for example, enjoyable to watch, boring, annoying, and I don't care ... Anything ok.)

5. If your country starts to use telop like japan in entertainment shows, do you agree with the idea or not?
Agree, Disagree, Neither

6. Please write your reason, why do you think so?

Thank you very much!!

1. America, but I live in Japan
2. 28
3. Japanese TV is geared toward the ADD adult...short shows, shorter commercials and lots going on. Even cooking shows are on crack. TV in the States is much more relaxed. Also, we have sitcoms in the U.S., while there's none in Japan = no fun shows with families, friends, etc. to watch from week to week.
4. I like the subtitles on Japanese TV because they help me understand what I'm hearing in Japanese...like learning by sound and sight. HOWEVER, I think they dub over too often on foreign programming...no wonder most Japanese people aren't good at speaking/understanding English: they rarely hear it!
5. I don't think American programming needs subtitles, but foreign programming in the States? Sure!
6. Hope that helps!
