How about ponytails with ribbons? This is my usual hairdo, but a friend of mine told me to dye it black and spike it up. I don't want to cut it all off. Should I go get extensions or a perm?

For ANY interview, the general rule is: LOOK PROFESSIONAL. In particular, you want to look like someone who is confident in herself and serious about her work.

As to your hairdo: while you DON'T want to "fake it," you MUST put your best forward, so the ponytails might not be a good idea . . . whether you get an extension or a perm, the question will be, "Does this look businesslike/professional?"

Go for it! Good Luck!

A french braid, take the bottom of the braid and tuck it under so it hangs in a loop, and secure with a nice barrette. Leave thin wisps of hair on the side of your face where your sideburns should be and slightly curl them. Small hoop ear-rings to accentuate or rhinestones. This gives a well kept professional look! Make sure to hairspray for hold... not too much though.. you don't want to choke out your future employers.

Something simple and professional looking. Pigtails are out, and probably say no to the the black spikey 'do as well. Low ponytail with a simple barrette or tie is what you're looking for.

Work out what the company does and what their look is likely to be. What works as a secretary at a firm of accountants will be vastly different from a secretary at a record label.

A low ponytail (nothing on top of your head and no ribbons) is okay, or a bun. You need to look professional.

Something more mature maybe..like a nice smooth ponitail with a black or matching band.

Maybe a similar coloured band.
I would prefer a chignon.

do something professional looking.

make sure it's neat. chances are if you're mom says it's good, your interviewer will find it good too.

seriously boring idea, i know, but they're probably going to be the same age (your mom and the interviewer).

your going to want to look sophisticated. i would either find a way to style it up, no pigtails with ribbons. or just wear it down.

Whatever you do with your hair i suggest you to went there sexy looking if your employer is a male :)
Even though discrimination by any case is forbidden by law you will get more chances over the, even maybe more skilled, other applicants if you look sexy. :)
That`s just the way it is :)
