What can u feed wild snails. My lil brother saw some in the back yard and wants to feed them, what can we feed them, and how do snails eat?

They eat vegetation.You can give them just about any vegetable or fruit.They have very tiny rough,sandpaper-like "teeth";of course you can't see them,but that's how they eat.Try some lettuce and apple.I think it's sweet that he wants to feed them;he must be a sweetie.

Snails are mostly herbivores but a few species are predatory carnivores, feeding on earthworms and slugs.

I used to own two snails and eat some fruits, like apples, and vegtables. They just munch on food, I saw one of my snails munch on his lettuce, he munched so much I heard it!

usually they eat plants but I know they will eat a piece of dry dog food, try that
