It's not easy being in a jail in the US or any other country. Better here though. Think of all the dirtbags and scummy people that you would scrape off the bottom of your shoe. You would be in with them. Think of all the deviant things that they have done before, now, they have free fresh meat accessible to them all the time. When I was in the Army I was stationed overseas in Germany. I took a soldier who had raped a little girl, to a German prison until we could ship him stateside. That prison was the worse place I have ever seen or been to. When we got him out after thirty days to ship him to Fort Leavonworth, he wouldn't talk. He had been tortured. None of us felt any sympathy. You have to know that theres a different law that goes on within a prison and between the inmates.

Compared to some other countries, American prisons are like living in splendor. A guy from my church went on a mission to a prison in a South American country, he said inmates freely roamed the prisons with machetes. The gangs and their actions there made American prisons look like nursery school. There was no sewage system. Clean water was scarce. To find meat in in your beans that you got once a day is like hitting the lottery. In this country, inmates are given medical care, well fed and have many advantages that the general public doesn't have even in this country not to mention the poverty to be seen in some places.
